BactiBlock® 660 A0 is an acrylic coating that contains an antimicrobial additive, which has been designed to protect all kind of notpainted metallic surfaces, such as steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, chrome and nickel surfaces… In addition to confer antimicrobial protection on the surface, BactiBlock® 660 A0 protects metals from oxidation, browning, moisture and deterioration due to wear and over time, while maintaining or even increasing the brightness. BactiBlock®’s active ingredients is ionic silver (Ag+), a highly efficient multi-target antimicrobial agent that comes straight from nature and is generally recognized as safe for human contact. Silver’s antimicrobial activity has been probed against a wide range of pathogen microorganisms such as Escherichia coli, Legionella sp, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Aspergillus niger…

 

How does BactiBlock® work?

The mechanism of action is the controlled release of silver ions ( ) by leaching caused by humidity, using nanotechnology. Once released, the silver ions inhibit the growth of microorganisms. Microorganims can not adhere to the surface, so that the formation of biofilms generated by them is prevented.
